Objectives
- To draw and develop a unitary system of standards meant to evaluate and assess the quality of education and research in the field.
- To produce statements, qualified viewpoints, prospects, documents related to definitions, clarifications and semantic taxonomies of computers and information technology.
- To achieve active involvement in designing policies of developing education, research and society in the field of computers and information technology.
- To forward initiatives, including legal ones, to provide services in any decision-making process and to react to any inaccurate decision.
- To assess the quality of conferences, journals, publishing houses and books in the field.
- To promote professionalism and competence in the field.
- To publish “The Romanian Journal of Computers and Information Technology” as well as other publications (course books, monographs, proceedings etc.).
- To co-ordinate the publication of journals.
- To organise and co-ordinate national and international conferences.
- To issue compatible proposals for harmonizing the infrastructure, organisation and contents of European and Euro-Atlantic computer education.
- To promote value in the field by awarding prizes, private scholarships and other incentives resulting from the
- Association funds, sponsorships and collaboration with third parties.
- To collaborate with similar organisations from the country and / or from abroad.
To encourage and promote individual and team initiatives meant to highlight the Association’s prestige
